Amazing family of 5 solid high quality wood hippos - each hand carved in African with incredible artistry

This family of 5 solid wood hippos was hand carved in Africa. They are not signed so I'm not sure of the maker or age. I had bought them second hand and was told they are from Africa.
They vary in size by a half-inch each, with the smallest measuring 3 inches wide and the largest measuring 5 inches wide (3", 3 1/2", 4", 4 1/2" and 5").
All are in very good condition.
I'm not sure the type of wood but it looks to be great quality.
