Rather than re-string them, I made them into stud earrings.  It felt right - as if these pieces were meant to be studs from the start.  They also look beautiful when worn.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cp\u003eHowever, it's important to note two things:\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cp\u003e1) To make them sturdy, I used an epoxy clay to apply the studs.  You CAN see the epoxy but only on the back so only you can see it when you take them off.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cp\u003e2) Each element has 4 holes from being strung.  I positioned these holes on the top and bottom of the earrings so it's a little harder to see them on the side when worn. You still might be able to see them a little bit but most likely your hair will be blocking the side view a bit and even if the holes are seen,  I think it adds to the character of upcycling vintage elements.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cp\u003eThere are two styles of earrings: One-half inch \u0026amp; three-quarter inch.
